These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online, by e-mail, telephone or by post with Jarrold & Son Ltd trading as Venturesport. Please read carefully before placing an order. Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect your statutory rights. All references to 'us', 'we' or the 'company' refer to Jarrold & Son Ltd trading as Venturesport. 'You' or the 'customer' refers to the person responsible for placing the order. By placing an order with Jarrold & Son Ltd trading as Venturesport you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Orders:
We are pleased to accept orders from mainland United Kingdom, we do not however, process orders which originate outside the U.K. nor deliver to addresses that are outside of the mainland U.K., BFPO or P.O. boxes.
We will accept orders via telephone (01603 613378) and online.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Maestro and Solo but cannot process American Express or swipe only cards such as Electron. If the card issuer refuses to authorise payment we will not be liable for any delay and/or non-delivery of the order.
No orders will be accepted without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder and its registered address. Orders are charged as soon as they are received by us.

Delivery is FREE on all UK Mainland Orders
Channel Islands, Offshore UK Destinations (e.g. Isle of Wight, Isle of Man), Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands and BFPO = FREE also!
We use Parcel Force and Royal Mail as couriers. Although you can have the goods delivered to any address within the mainland U.K. We need someone to sign for the goods upon delivery. We reserve the right to deliver the goods to the cardholders address.
Delivery Schedule:
We aim to make delivery in three to five working days, however some items may take up to 21 days to be delivered.
If we are unable to deliver your items within 5 days we will write to you, confirming your purchased items and giving you an estimated delivery schedule.

Price and Print Errors:
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that all details published are correct no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders based on the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed.
Prices:
All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and include UK VAT at 17.5% unless clearly stated otherwise. All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Products:
Products are sold singly unless otherwise stated and although we make every effort to ensure that we have stock we cannot guarantee that every item on the online shop is in stock. Please call 01603 697227 for stock availability if you need the product in a short space of time. Should products be out of stock you will be contacted within three working days. (Please ensure that your e-mail is correct when placing the order.) Every effort is also made to ensure that the colours listed and picture on the site are accurate but due to technical limitations some colours may vary.
Shopping is Safe at Venturesport.co.uk:
Shopping is safe with Norwich Outdoor Sports Ltd trading as Venturesport because all details are sent using encrypted software. This means that the credit card details sent are coded in such a way that, in the extremely unlikely event that someone is somehow able to obtain this information, only we can decode the information to obtain your credit card details. The credit card details are encrypted on your PC through the "encryption" page and they are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. The method used is 128-bit encryption. Please note that none of our customers has ever reported to us fraudulent use of their credit card as a result of shopping with Venturesport.co.uk
Guarantee & Faulty Items:
All products are guaranteed for twelve months unless otherwise stated from the original date of invoice against failure to provide reasonable wear due to defective workmanship or materials so long as the product was used for its intended purpose. This guarantee excludes damage caused by accident, neglect or misuse (use for other than intended purpose of item). In the event of a product failing please call or e-mail us with details of the product, fault and age. Proof of purchase is necessary and the item must be returned in a clean and dry condition, any items returned in a state other than above will be returned to sender due to Health and Safety regulations. Please note that return postage and other costs are not covered by this guarantee.
Returns & Exchanges:
We want you to be completely satisfied with any and every order placed with us. Therefore if you wish to return an item for any reason at all you may do so within at any time up to 30 days from receipt of the goods. To return a non-faulty item the product must be in its original condition with the original labels attached and a copy of the invoice, once an item has been worn or used we will be unable to refund or exchange unless the item is found by the manufacturer to have a fault. Should an item be returned with no fault but in a used condition we will return it to the customer. To us assist us in the event of wanting to return a non-faulty item we must be informed before its return via e-mail, fax, letter or telephone within 30 days of receipt and informed as to why the goods are being returned and whether you want a refund or an exchange.
The products must reach us within a further 7 days from notification and you will be refunded/exchanged as soon as we receive the garment and upon inspection to ensure that it is in its original condition.
Any footwear returned to us MUST be in its original condition. If they show signs that they have been used outside the boots WILL be returned to the sender. Safety/climbing equipment and underwear must be in new and unused condition and it is the customers responsibility to maintain the condition and care of the item during the cancellation period. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
We recommend that you inspect your goods on arrival (especially tents).
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
Distance Selling Regulations:
As a mail order customer you have the right to cancel any item within 30 days of delivery (excludes perishable items, personalised items or items where we will have discussed the goods and you have agreed to take them) provided they are in new and unused condition with original packaging and receipt. Used items will be deemed to have been accepted by you and therefore cannot be returned unless faulty. To cancel an item please call or e-mail us. Items must be received by us within 7 days of cancellation and you will receive a full refund to your credit card upon inspection of the goods. We will not refund your postage costs unless the item is faulty or there is an error in the delivery.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation 2006: Recycling Electrical and Electronic Equipment : Important Customer Information
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that internet retailers must allow customers to return their old electrical and electronic equipment on a ‘like-for-like’ basis when purchasing new equipment.
Q1: Why should I recycle my old electrical and electronic equipment?
A: This category of waste is increasing by around 5% a year, so making it one of the fastest growing waste streams in the UK. Much of it ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins can cause soil and water contamination and have harmful effects on natural habitat, wildlife and human health. In addition many of the items can be recycled, thereby helping to save our natural finite resources and reducing the amount of waste going to landfill.
Q2: How do I know whether my equipment can be recycled?
A: Relevant products carry a crossed-out ‘wheelie bin’ symbol. Goods marked with this symbol means that they were produced after 13th August 2005 and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste in order that they may be recycled.
Q3: How can I recycle my old electrical and electronic equipment?
A: When purchasing electrical or electronic equipment from our website you can return the old item you’re replacing (see Q2 above) and we will dispose of it on your behalf. Please note, this is on a ‘like-for-like’ basis and so the item for disposal must be similar in nature to the new product purchased. This disposal service is provided free of charge however you must pay for the costs incurred in returning your old item to us.
We will accept your old item for disposal for a period of 28 days from when you purchased the replacement on-line. The address for returning your WEEE is Venturesport, 15 London St, Norwich , NR2 1JE.
Please phone Customer Services on 01603 697 227 prior to sending your WEEE and obtain an authorisation number. Please write this authorisation number on a slip of paper and include it in the returned package. Alternatively you may take relevant equipment to a recycling site equipped to receive waste electrical and electronic product – details are available on request from your local council.
